01

Start with identity and context

Record the property address or unit identifier, the date, and whether this is a move-in or move-out record. Begin each room with one wide view so later detail photos have a clear location.

02

Follow one repeatable direction

Move around the room in the same direction and cover walls, ceiling, floor, windows, doors, built-ins, fixtures, and appliances. A repeatable order makes missing areas easier to spot.

03

Pair overview and detail photos

Use an overview to show where a condition appears, then a close photo to show its shape and scale. Keep enough surrounding surface visible that the close-up is still identifiable.

04

Review before the room changes

Check focus, glare, shadows, and coverage while you can still retake the image. Export a copy after the walkthrough and keep it somewhere you control.
